Nobicon Nordic AB provides companies, authorities and organziations with a single point access to external information from an enormous number of sources. Nobicon also offers customized solutions for the distribution of information to users, enterprise portals, intranets and websites.

Nobicon focuses mainly on the Swedish market, but many of its customers are present in Nordic, European and Global markets, and their need for both national and international news plays an essential role.

All information providers are connected to the Nobicon distribution system. The information is delivered in a data feed format, chosen by the provider. After reception, all information is converted into a common internal format, which allows intense coding of the information. For instance, all news items can be coded geographically, by company name, by industry or by topic. An advanced filtering service is also part of the distribution system.

Factiva (a Dow Jones Company), Thomson Dialog, Esmerk, Infopaq, Observer, Reuters and AFP are some of the international information providers connected to Nobicon. Together, these providers represent more than 10.000 news sources from all over the world. Nobicon also receives information from a large number of sources that provide their news in Swedish, as well as other Nordic languages. Nobicon handles real-time news distribution from agencies like TT (Sweden), Nyhetsbyrån Direkt (Sweden) and NTB (Norway). Nobicon also receives, and distributes to customers, news items (links) from a number of companies specializing in monitoring news published on the Internet.

Currently, Nobicon operates as both a content adviser for customers and, as an agent for information providers. After the evaluation process, the customer and the information provider agree upon all subscription agreements regarding content. The single point service means that the customer separates content from actual distribution, making it easier to switch between the news services, and furthermore, enabling them to add new services to the already existing ones.
